Searching for a Service by PTY Codes

You can locate a particular kind of program from among all
services you can receive by specifying PTY codes.

While listening to the DAB radio...

Select a PTY code.
• For details about each PTY code,
see page 21.

Start searching.
Ex. When "NEWS" is selected
The System searches for all available ensembles, stops
when it finds a program of the selected PTY code, and
switches to the service.
• If no program is found, "NOTFOUND" appears on the
display.
• To stop searching any time during search, press STOP
.

To continue searching after it stops on an unwanted
service
While the PTY code is flashing on the display, press PTY
SEARCH again.

Changing the Display Mode

While listening to the DAB radio...

Preset number
DLS PTY
"NOSIGNAL" will appear if no signal is
sent.
The broadcast program type is
displayed. "NONE" will appear if no
signal is sent.
Dynamic Label Segment (text messages
the station sends) is displayed. "NO
TEXT" will appear if no signal is sent.
