From t he SN M P screen, click Tr a p Gr ou p t o view t he screen as shown. Use t he Tr a p Gr ou p
screen t o specify t he t ypes of SNMP t raps t hat should be sent t o each SNMP m anager.
Chapter 48 Access Control
DESCRIPTION
Use t his sect ion t o specify t he SNMP version and com m unit y ( password) values.
Select t he SNMP version for t he Swit ch. The SNMP version on t he Swit ch m ust m at ch t he
version on t he SNMP m anager. Choose SNMP version 2c ( v2 c) , SNMP version 3 ( v3 ) or
bot h ( v3 v2 c) .
Note: SNMP version 2c is backwards compatible with SNMP version 1.

Get Next- request s from t he m anagem ent st at ion.
The Ge t Com m un it y st ring is only used by SNMP m anagers using SNMP version 2c or
lower.

Note: This username must match an existing account on the Switch (configured in the
Management > Access Control > SNMP > User screen).
Click Apply t o save your changes t o t he Swit ch's run- t im e m em ory. The Swit ch loses
t hese changes if it is t urned off or loses power, so use t he Sa ve link on t he t op navigat ion
panel t o save your changes t o t he non- volat ile m em ory when you are done configuring.
Click Ca n ce l t o begin configuring t his screen afresh.
