Chapter 23 Multicast
DESCRIPTION
This is t he index num ber of t he ent ry.
This field displays t he m ult icast VLAN I D.
This field displays t he port num ber t hat belongs t o t he m ult icast group. I n st acking
m ode, t he first num ber represent s t he slot and t he second t he port num ber.
This field displays I P m ult icast group addresses.
This field displays t he t im e ( in seconds) t hat elapses before t he Swit ch rem oves an MLD
group m em bership ent ry if it does not receive report m essages from t he port .
DESCRIPTION
Use t hese set t ings t o configure MLD snooping- proxy.
Select Act ive t o enable MLD snooping- proxy on t he Swit ch t o m inim ize MLD cont rol
m essages and allow bet t er net work perform ance.
Select a priorit y level ( 0- 7) t o which t he Swit ch changes t he priorit y in out going MLD
m essages.
Click Apply t o save your changes t o t he Swit ch's run- t im e m em ory. The Swit ch loses
t hese changes if it is t urned off or loses power, so use t he Sa ve link on t he t op navigat ion
panel t o save your changes t o t he non- volat ile m em ory when you are done configuring.
Click Ca n ce l t o begin configuring t his screen afresh.
