I GMP Filt ering Select Act ive t o enable I GMP filt ering t o cont rol which I GMP groups a subscriber on a port

224.0.0.9 is used t o send RI P rout ing inform at ion t o all RI P v2 rout ers on t he sam e
net work segm ent . A m ult icast rout er will not forward a packet w it h t he dest inat ion I P

The layer- 2 m ult icast MAC addresses used by Cisco layer- 2 prot ocols,
01: 00: 0C: CC: CC: CC and 01: 00: 0C: CC: CC: CD, are also included in t his group.
