Host Tim eout
Specify t he t im e ( from 1 t o 16 711 450) in seconds t hat elapses before t he Swit ch
rem oves an I GMP group m em bership ent ry if it does not receive report m essages from
t he port .
802.1p Priorit y
Select a priorit y level ( 0- 7) t o which t he Swit ch changes t he priorit y in out going I GMP
cont rol packet s. Ot herwise, select N o- Ch a n ge t o not replace t he priorit y.
I GMP Filt ering
Select Act ive t o enable I GMP filt ering t o cont rol which I GMP groups a subscriber on a port
can j oin.
Note: If you enable IGMP filtering, you must create and assign IGMP filtering profiles for the

Mult icast Fram e

Reserved
The I P address range of 224.0.0.0 t o 224.0.0.255 are reserved for m ult icast ing on t he
Mult icast Group
local net work only. For exam ple, 224.0.0.1 is for all host s on a local net work segm ent and
224.0.0.9 is used t o send RI P rout ing inform at ion t o all RI P v2 rout ers on t he sam e
net work segm ent . A m ult icast rout er will not forward a packet w it h t he dest inat ion I P
address wit hin t his range t o ot her net works. See t he I ANA web sit e for m ore inform at ion.
The layer- 2 m ult icast MAC addresses used by Cisco layer- 2 prot ocols,
01: 00: 0C: CC: CC: CC and 01: 00: 0C: CC: CC: CD, are also included in t his group.
