- Page 3 Control Audio Amplifier The MLC 206 acts as a universal projector remote control panel to control a projector’s or switcher’s audio volume, to tell the projector to switch between its inputs, and to control projector power-on and power-off. Projector control is simple, requiring a one-time setup using the supplied control software.

- Page 5 Setting up RS-232 projector control Step 1 The MLC 206 must be configured before it can be used. Start the software and configure the MLC. The appearance of the screens varies depending on which accessories (control modules and/or MediaLink Switcher) are connected to the MLC, as shown in the following pictures.
- Page 6 Step 2 Connect the MLC 206 to the projector for RS-232 projector control. If you have installed control modules (IRCMs) and/or plan to control the projector via IR control, you can make this connection after you finish the IR learning steps, at the same time you install the IR emitters.

Step 3 Disconnect the host PC from the MLC 206, remove power from the MLC (unplug the power supply or switcher), and label the inputs (see the MLC 206 User’s Manual for details). Step 4 Mount the MLC and accessories into the wall or furniture, and restore power.
