This example shows how to enter MST configuration mode, map VLANs 10 to 20 to MST instance 1, name
the region region1, set the configuration revision to 1, display the pending configuration, apply the changes,
and return to global configuration mode:
switch# config t
switch(config)# spanning-tree mst configuration
switch(config-mst)# instance 1 vlan 10-20
switch(config-mst)# name region1
switch(config-mst)# revision 1
switch(config-mst#) exit
switch(config)# show spanning-tree mst configuration

Mapping or Unmapping a VLAN to an MST Instance - CLI Version
If two or more bridges are to be in the same MST region, they must have the identical MST name,
VLAN-to-instance mapping, and MST revision number.
You cannot map VLANs 3968 to 4095 to an MST instance. These VLANs are reserved for internal use by
the device.
When you change the VLAN-to-MSTI mapping, the system reconverges MST.

Configuring MST Using Cisco NX-OS
Purpose
Commits all the changes and exits MST
configuration submode.
• abort
Exits the MST configuration submode without
committing any of the changes.
(Optional) Displays the MST configuration.
(Optional) Copies the running configuration to the startup
configuration.
