Fundamentals

Overview

The TNC provides two cycles for machining point patterns directly:
Soft key Cycle
220 POLAR PATTERN
221 CARTESIAN PATTERN
You can combine Cycle 220 and Cycle 221 with the following fixed
cycles:
If you have to machine irregular point patterns, use CYCL
CALL PAT (See "Point tables", page 74) to develop point
tables.
More regular point patterns are available with the
pattern def function (See "PATTERN DEF pattern
definition", page 67).

Cycle 203 UNIVERSAL DRILLING
Cycle 204 BACK BORING
Cycle 205 UNIVERSAL PECKING
Cycle 206 TAPPING NEW with a floating tap holder

Cycle 240 CENTERING
