Ignition Coil Removal And Installation - Honda XLR200R Service Manual

Remove spark plug cap from spark plug .
. Measure ignition coil secondary side resistance between ignition
coil green terminal and spark plug cap .
Standard Value: 7.8 - 8.4

Remove spark plug cap from high tension cord.
Measure ignition coil secondary sf,de resistance between ignition
cord green terminal and high tension cord.
Standard Value: 2.8 - 3.4k

(20 °C)
Remove, and Installation
Remove fuel tank (,*2-8)
Remove spark plug cap from plug.
Remove high tension cord from clamp.
Disconnect ignition coil primary side terminal cord.
Remove ignition.coil.
Inst311atioh is reverse order of removal.
CHECKING PULSE GENERATOR
Remove fuel tank. ('*2-8)
,Disconnect COl unit
~oupler.
Measure pulse
generator resistance
at COl unit coupler terminal.
Connection Method: blue/yellow cord terminal to green cord
terminal
Standard Value; '29. 3 - 358
n
(20 °C)
I." reading is abnormal, check pulse generator independently.
