Troubleshooting

Before asking for repairs, check the symptoms with the following table.
Contact your dealer if a problem cannot be solved even after checking and trying the solution in the
table or a problem is not described below.
Symptom
Power is not turned
on.
The camera does not
move to the preset
positions accurately.
When the camera is
panning/tilting, the
camera stops
panning/tilting and
mechanical noise
comes from the
camera.
The camera starts
panning unpredict-
ably.
When using a PoE device for power supply
• Are the PoE (IEEE802.3af compliant) device and the cam-
era connected with an Ethernet cable?
Check whether the connection is appropriately established.
• Depending on the PoE device, the power supply will
stop when the demanded power exceeds its total
power limit for all PoE ports.
Refer to the operating instructions of the PoE device in
use.
When using DC power supply
• Is the AC adaptor in use compliant with the specifications?
Check the specifications regarding AC adaptor.
• Is the power cable plug inserted to the camera firmly?
Check if it is attached correctly and firmly.
• When the preset positions become inaccurate during
use, it is possible to correct the positions by executing
the position refresh function.
In addition, when "Position refresh" is set for the cre-
ated schedule, the camera position will be corrected
periodically. In some situations, reconfigure the preset
positions.
• The camera position may have become inaccurate.
Carry out the refresh position function from the [Default
reset] tab of the "Maintenance" page of the setup
menu.
• This may be caused by noise.
Check the exogenous noise level around the camera.

• The protection circuit against high temperature may
function.
When the digital flip (function to turn the screen upside-
down when tilting exceeds a certain angle) continues for
a given time in high temperature, the system releases
the digital flip and operates panning and tilting automati-
cally to return the screen to the original position.
