It is mandatory that the flue damper is set open for use with vented type gas log sets.
Only unvented gas log sets which have been found to comply with the standard for unvented room heaters,
ANSI/IAS/AGA Z21.11.2, are to be installed with this appliance.
Do not operate an unvented gas log set in this appliance with the chimney removed.
Before installing or operating the gas log set, ensure all refractory bricks and insulation are installed and in good
working order.
The doors must be fully opened when operating the appliance with a gas log set installed.
This appliance has been tested for use with manufactured gas log sets (max. 40,000 BTU's). When vented type
log sets are used, the flue damper must be affixed open.
This appliance has been designed for easy installation of gas pipe through the sides of the firebox. The refractory
brick has moulded dimples in the bottom front corners of the firebox that can be knocked out. There are
corresponding knockouts for the firebox and outer shell. Once removed, install the gas log set according to the
manufacturer's installation instructions.
note:
To complete the installation of the gas log set, it may be necessary to remove the andirons.
