Telephone operation

Make, answer or end a home call
Using a handset:
To make a home call:
• Press /HOME/ or , then enter the
FLASH
telephone number.
To predial a home call:
• Enter the telephone number, then press
/HOME/ or .
FLASH
To answer a home call:
• Press /HOME/ or .
FLASH
• The screen shows the elapsed time as you talk (in
hours, minutes and seconds).
• When predialing (preview numbers before dialing), press
or /CLEAR to backspace and delete; press and hold
OFF
insert a dialing pause (a p appears).
To end a home call:
• Press OFF/ or put the handset in the telephone base.

Using a Bluetooth headset:
You can use a Bluetooth headset on home calls. However, you will need to stay
within 30 feet from the telephone base to maintain the Bluetooth signal.
To switch between the headset and handset while on a call:
1. Press MENU/ .

2. Press /SELECT to select Use headset/Use handset (whichever
MENU
applicable).
To answer a home call:
• Press the call button on your headset.
To end a home call:
• Press the call button on your headset if you are using it or press
OFF/ on the handset.

While you are using your Bluetooth headset and you move too far away from
the telephone base or the battery of your headset is fully depleted, the call will
be transferred to the originating handset automatically.

Call waiting on the home line

If you subscribe to call waiting service with your telephone service provider,
you hear a beep if someone calls while you are already on a call.
• Press / /FLASH on the handset to put your current call on hold and

take the new call.
• Press / /FLASH on the handset at any time to switch back and

forth between calls.
Make, answer or end a cell call
You can connect a maximum of two Bluetooth enabled cell phones to the
telephone base, but only one cell phone can be used on a cell call at a time.
If you have only one cell phone connected to the telephone base and is on
the active devices list, it is automatically selected to make or answer cell calls.
If you have two cell phones connected to the telephone base and are on the
active devices list, the telephone system prompts you to select a cell phone
before you make a cell call.

• Enter the telephone number, then press
