Troubleshooting Your Phone
Power and Startup
Symptom
There are power issues.
The handset appears to be fine,
but there is no interaction
between the handset and the
Microsoft® Communicator "14"
client.
This chapter presents problems, likely causes, and corrective actions that
might occur with your Polycom® CX300 Desktop Phone. Problems are
grouped as follows:

If you still need assistance, contact your system administrator.
Problem
The Polycom CX300 desktop
phone has no power.
There may be problems with
your Microsoft Lync 2010 client
software or with the Microsoft
Lync 2010 software.
Corrective Action
Do one of the following steps:
•
Verify that no lights appear on the unit
when it is powered up.
•
Verify that the USB port provides
power.
•
Try the phone in another USB port
where the power is known to be
working.
Note: The phone will not work if it is
connected to bus-powered USB hub.
Contact your system administrator to
ensure your account is configured
properly and that your Microsoft Lync
2010 client software and the Microsoft
Lync 2010 software are properly installed
and configured.
