ATLANTIC 300 i.e.
Removal
BRAKEFORCE DISTRIBUTION MECHANISM
REMOVAL
Remove the instrument panel.
Drain off the braking system.
Undo and remove the two screws «1»
and the bleed valve, and collect the rel-
evant gaskets.
Remove the brake pipes and protect
them to avoid brake fluid spilling.
Unscrew and remove the two screws
«2» fixing the brakeforce distribution
mechanism.
Remove the brakeforce distribution
mechanism.
NOTE
MARK THE BRAKE PIPES TO PREVENT INCORRECT RE-
FITTING.
NOTE
UPON REFITTING PURGE THE AIR OF THE BRAKING SYS-
TEM.
Locking torques (N*m)
Screw fixing the brakeforce distribution mechanism to curved support 12 ± 20% (8.9 ftlb)
REAR BRAKE PUMP REMOVAL
Remove the left switch.
Undo and remove the two screws «1».
Remove the brake pump U-bolt.
Remove the brake pump; keep it con-
nected to the brake pipe.
Remove the brake pump completely, if necessary:
Disconnect the two rear stop switch
connectors «2».
Drain off the braking system.
Undo and remove the screw «3» and
collect the sealing washers.
Remove the brake pump.
Locking torques (N*m)
Screw fixing brake pumps to handlebar 10 ± 20% (7.4 ftlb)
