Scan features
The ColorQube 8900 Multifunction Printer
includes rich scanning capabilities, providing a
digital on-ramp for your hardcopy documents
and enabling them to be distributed, archived,
and utilized by your enterprise applications.
The ColorQube 8900 includes a wealth of
standard scanning destinations, highlighted by:
• Scan to Email — send scanned documents
to email recipients, with authentication for
network security and integration.
• Scan to Home — send scanned images to a
pre-assigned "home" destination such as an
email address, FTP location or folder.
• Scan to Mailbox — distribute scanned
documents to network destinations including
folders and servers.
• Scan to Folder — store files on the device's
hard drive, where they can be printed and
deleted or retrieved at a user's desktop.
• Scan to USB — supports walk-up scanning to
a standard USB memory device.
• Scan to Internet Fax — send scanned
images to fax recipients over your network.
Additional Xerox scanning software is
available to expand the capabilities of
your ColorQube 8900:
• ScanFlowStore (optional) — helps users

to simply and efficiently create digital
archives by scanning documents directly to
a destination from the Xerox multifunction
device.

– Nuance PaperPort — image viewing and file
management software.
– Nuance OmniPage (for desktop/client
installation) — OCR and file format
conversion software.
– Image Retriever — provides fully
automated retrieval of scanned images
direct from a scan enabled Xerox
ColorQube or WorkCentre to individual
desktops.

– The PaperPort Personal Scanning Platform
empowers office workers with the ability
to customize, directly from the desktop,
the scanning menus available to them on
Xerox
– Nuance PaperPort Pro — image viewing and

client installation) — OCR and file format
conversion software.
– Image Retriever — provides fully automated
retrieval of scanned images direct from a
scan enabled Xerox device or through email

The Duplex Automatic Document Feeder

(DADF) makes quick work of your copy jobs by
combining a fast processing speed of up to 20
images per minute color and black-and-white,
plus a large 50-sheet paper capacity.
