UMS Intelligent Mirroring uses both eth0 and eth1 network interface
cards on the Primary and Secondary UMS servers. The VCX Call Processor
and SIPDownloader use eth1 and the auth, acct, bss, and dir servers use
eth0 on the Primary and Secondary VCX servers.
The VCX V7000 hardware servers communicate with each other using IP
addresses. These addresses must be dedicated (static) and must be
compatible with your network design.
A VCX system is composed of one pair or two pairs of servers. The next
sections describe the information you need to gather or decide for each
of these systems.
3Com recommends that you configure your DNS servers so that they
know the IP addresses of all VCX servers and gateways.
3Com does not support NIS or WINS as domain name resolution methods
for VCX products.
