Note: The NVG2053 supports IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g and IEEE 802.11n
wireless clients. Make sure that your notebook or computer's wireless adapter
supports one of these standards.
2.5 How to Access the NVG2053 Using DDNS
If you connect your NVG2053 to the Internet and it uses a dynamic WAN IP
address, it is inconvenient for you to manage the device from the Internet. The
NVG2053's WAN IP address changes dynamically. Dynamic DNS (DDNS) allows
you to access the NVG2053 using a domain name.
To use this feature, you have to apply for DDNS service at www.dyndns.org.

Note: If you have a private WAN IP address, then you cannot use DDNS.
2.5.1 Registering a DDNS Account on www.dyndns.org
Open a browser and type http://www.dyndns.org.

Apply for a user account. This tutorial uses "UserName1" and "12345" as the

username and password.
Log into www.dyndns.org using your account.

Add a new DDNS host name. This tutorial uses the following settings as an

• Hostname: zyxelrouter.dyndns.org
• Service Type: Host with IP address
