Description
See Quick Message.
See Listening to Messages.
While or after listening to a message, an extension
user has many message handling options from which
to choose.
Live Monitor lets Voice Mail screen calls, just like an
answering machine at home. When activated, the ex-
tension's incoming calls route to the user's subscriber
mailbox. The Live Monitor feature is supported for Ex-
ternal and Internal calls. Once the mailbox answers,
the user hears the caller's incoming message.
Allows an extension user to record an active call as a
message in their mailbox. InMail broadcasts a beep
and a voice prompt to the caller as Live Record begins.
See Message Notification.
An extension user can press a key to log on to access
their InMail mailbox. With Remote Logon, an employee
calling through the Automated Attendant can dial a sin-
gle digit followed by their own mailbox number to re-
motely log on to their mailbox.
The Mailbox Announcement Message is recorded by
the System Administrator, and plays to each subscriber
when they log on to their mailbox. The message plays
at each log on until it expires, is deleted, or made inac-
tive by the System Administrator.
See Greeting.
See Log On to Voice Mail.
A mailbox caller can hear the extension user's recor-
ded name instead of their mailbox number.
Sub-menu of a subscriber's Main Menu that provides
access to the Auto Time Stamp, Mailbox Security Code
Delete, and Message Notification features.
The System Administrator can delete the security code
for any mailbox, effectively unlocking it.

The InMail options available to an extension user when
they log on to their mailbox.
A Subscriber Mailbox user can listen to a voice mes-
sage and dial MC to return the call without knowing
their caller's phone number.
The telephone display can show the number of new
messages waiting in a user's mailbox.
An extension user can delete any message left in their
mailbox.
A subscriber can forward a message in their mailbox to
a co-worker. They can optionally record a comment be-
fore the forwarded message.
The System Administrator can set the maximum length
of a message that can be left in a user's voice mailbox.
When a user calls their mailbox, they can dial a code to
listen to all their messages, their new messages, their
saved messages, or their held messages.
Once activated by the mailbox user, a telephone num-
ber is dialed to let the recipient know there are new
messages in the mailbox. Notification can call exten-
sions, local numbers, long distance numbers and pag-
ers.
