Contents of CD-ROM

■ CAPT (Canon Advanced Printing Technology) software, USB class driver
The CAPT (Canon Advanced Printing Technology) software included on the
supplied CD-ROM is required to be able to use the printer. Make sure this is
installed on the computer that you use.
The USB class driver is software that allows the printer to use the USB port.
The CAPT (Canon Advanced Printing Technology) software and USB class
driver contain the following items.
● CAPT Printer Driver for Windows 98/Me
● CAPT Printer Driver for Windows 2000/XP/Server 2003
● USB Class Driver for Windows 98*
* The USB Class driver for Windows Me/2000/XP/Server 2003 is the standard USB class driver
used by the operating system.
NOTE
Be sure to read [README File] before using the CD-ROM Setup.

CD-ROM Setup

When the CD-ROM is inserted into the CD-ROM drive, the following CD-
ROM Setup program will automatically run.
You can install the software from the CD-ROM Setup program.

● CD-ROM Setup Help
Click this button to show online help about the CD-ROM menu. Click on any
item to display a description.
● Install
Click this button to start the setup wizard for installing the printer driver.
● README File
Click this button to display the README file for the printer driver. This file does
not contain the online help and users manuals, but contains separate
information and important points. Make sure you read this file before using the
printer.
● Manuals
Click this button to display the [LBP5200 Online Manuals]. Regardless of
whether you click on [Getting Started Guide] or [User's Guide], the files are
displayed as PDFs. You need Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat Reader to read
PDF format files. If Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat Reader is not installed on
the system you are using, you can download and install it from the Adobe
Systems website.
* The following PDF manuals are stored in the [Manuals] folder in the supplied
CD-ROM.

User's Guide: Manual_2.pdf
● Exit
Closes the CD-ROM Setup.
NOTE
•
If the [Always Display when CD is Inserted] option is selected, the CD-
ROM Setup will automatically run every time the CD is inserted in the CD-
ROM drive.

If the CD-ROM Setup program does not start automatically, select [Run]
from the [Start] menu, enter "D:\English\CNAC3MNU.exe", and click the
[OK] button.
(In this case, the CD-ROM drive is assumed to be assigned to "D:". The
actual CD-ROM drive letter may be different depending on the computer
you are using.)
