5 Fill in the fields to create an authority
group and click Create.
• Machine ID - Leave this field at
default. This preconfigured name iden-
tifies the X6004.
• Authority Group Name - Assign a
unique name to the authority group.
Use alphanumeric characters a-Z, 0-9;
spaces are not allowed. Click Check to
make sure that this name is available
(not yet assigned).
• Description - this field is optional.
6 Fill in the fields to create a SIP
extension for a SIP IP phone.
• Authority Group - leave this at default
(this is the authority group you created
in step 5).
• Extension Number - assign a 1 to 20
digit extension number for an IP
phone.
• Web/IVR/VM Pin Code - assign a
numeric password (4 to 8 digits) for this
extension. This is used for features
such as accessing voice mail and
using the web phone.
• Description - this field is optional.
• Authentication - The username and password are used when registering an IP phone with
the X6004.
• Username - Use up to 32 alphanumeric characters, spaces are not allowed.
• Password - Select Customization and enter up to 32 alphanumeric characters, spaces
are not allowed.
