HDD Cage

The server can have HDD cage to install hard disk drives.
If you install or remove HDD cage, be sure to apply SDR data to the system by using SDR media provided with
the server.
Refer to Chapter 2 (1.24.1 How to apply SDR data) for how to apply SDR data.

1.13.1 Installation

(1) 2.5-inch HDD cage
The server can contain up to three 2.5-inch HDD cages. Install cages starting from the top bay.
Install a 2.5-inch HDD cage in the following procedure.
Refer to steps 1 to 7 in Chapter 2 (1.3 Overview of Installation and Removal) for preparations.

2. Install 2.5-inch HDD cage in the bay, and secure it with four screws provided with the cage.
When installing only one 2.5-inch HDD cage, attach two blank covers provided with the cage to the
vacant bays using four screws.
When installing two 2.5-inch HDD cages, attach one blank cover provided with the cage to the
vacant bay using two screws.

Important
An error may occur before the SDR data is applied to the system.
Important
If three 2.5-inch HDD cages are installed, hot-plug redundant fans must also
be installed.
