Boot problems
Possible cause:
The BIOS ROM flash fails.
1.
The system ROM is corrupt.
2.
A logical drive is not configured by the LSI RAID controller.
3.
The controller boot order is not set properly.
4.
Hardware issues.
5.
Correction Action:
If the system ROM is corrupted, the system automatically switches to the redundant ROM in most cases. If
the system does not automatically switch to the redundant ROM, perform the following steps:
Power down the server.
1.
Remove the server from the rack, if necessary.
2.
Remove the access panel.
3.
Change the clear CMOS jumper into the clear position 2-3, then restore it to original position 1-2.
4.
Install the access panel.
5.
Install the server into the rack.
6.
Power up the server.
7.
If both the current and backup versions of the ROM are corrupt, return the system board for a service
8.
replacement.
