Maintenance)
Always perform Pre-Storage Maint. if the printer will
not be used (and will be turned off) for the extended
periods shown in the following table. The standard
unused period when Pre-Storage Maint. is necessary
differs depending on the model and color mode being
used as shown in the following table.
For Pre-Storage Maint., use the number of Cleaning
cartridges separately available shown in the following
table.

❏ If you do not perform Pre-Storage Maint., the
print head could become permanently clogged.
❏ After performing Pre-Storage Maint. for spot
color ink only, you must charge spot color ink if
you want to change Pre-Storage Maint. to All
Nozzles.

If the amount of remaining ink or cleaning fluid is
insufficient, the function may not run. When there

cartridges on hand as a precaution.
