TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

retailer. Always identify your cleaner by the model number and manufacturing code when requesting information or
ordering replacement parts. (The model number appears on the bottom of the cleaner.)
POSSIBLE SOLUTION
1. Plug unit in firmly.
2. Check fuse or breaker in home. Replace
fuse/reset breaker.
3. Take to service center or call 1-800-321-1134.
4. Allow cleaner to cool - Pg. 3.
1. Insert finger into hole and push paper away
from opening - Pg. 8.
2. Replace paper bag - Pg. 8.
3. Replace brushroll - Pg. 10.
4. Replace belt - Pg. 10.
5. Clean or replace filter - Pg. 8 & 9.
6. Remove base nozzle cover - Pg. 10; remove
obstruction OR remove hose - Pg. 6.
7. Set carpet height adjustment to appropriate
setting for carpet being cleaned - Pg. 7.
8. Clean filter - Pg. 8, install bag - Pg. 7.
9. Remove hose & paper bag and clean inlet -
Pg. 6 & 8.
1. Replace paper bag - Pg. 8.
2. Review paper bag installation - Pg. 8.
3. Replace paper bag - Pg. 8. Clean/Replace filter -
Pg. 8 & 9.
4. Install bag - Pg. 8, clean filter - Pg. 8 & 9.
5. Review hose installation - Pg. 6.
1. Remove hose and tools; remove obstruction - Pg. 11.
2. Remove hose & paper bag and clean inlet -
Pg. 6 & 8.
3. Replace paper bag - Pg. 8.
4. Install paper bag - Pg. 8, clean filter - Pg. 8 & 9.
1. Replace bulb - Pg. 11.

2. Remove brush. Determine if End Caps rotate
freely. If not, replace brushroll - Pg. 10.

4. Replace belt - Pg. 10.
