Installing the Access Point
The adjustable T-rail clip attaches to the mounting plate using four
A, B, and C holes on the T-rail clips and the mounting plate correspond to these T-rail widths:

Installation Summary

While installing the access point, you must perform the following operations:

C I S C O C O N F I D E N T I A L -
A holes—used for 1 1/2 in (38 mm) T-rails
B holes—used for 15/16 in (24 mm) T-rails
C holes—used for 9/16 in (15 mm) T-rails
indicates where you should push to open and close the adjustable T-rail clips.

Open the access point cover (see
Mount the access point on a convenient flat horizontal or vertical surface, such as a desktop, book
shelf, file cabinet, wall, ceiling, or suspended ceiling T-rail (see the

2-9).
Attach the access point to the mounting plate (see the

Connect Ethernet and power cables (see the

2-17).
Secure the access point (see the
Configure basic settings (refer to
