Tower Setup

The UPS and any optional cabinets (PDM or EBM) must be stabilized with pedestals and/or
joining brackets. The setup varies depending on the number of cabinets you are installing:

Secure the front of the UPS to the rack using flat-head screws.

Tighten the pan-head screws that secure both rails to the front of the rack (see Step 3
on page 4).

Continue to "Power Cord Connections" on page 12.

For one cabinet, both sets of pedestals must be installed (provided in the P30
accessory kit). Complete Steps 2 through 4.
For two cabinets, the pedestals and joining brackets must be installed. Skip to Step 5.
For three or more cabinets,

Place the UPS horizontally, so that the left end of the cabinet is accessible (see
Figure 9).

Slide and position the UPS pedestals over the end of the unit so that the weight of the
cabinet is evenly distributed. Secure the pedestals with the screws provided in the
accessory kit.

Carefully position the unit upright with the air vents at the top (see Figure 10).
