Do not start the initialization while the process is running! This can cause severe damage to equipment and impair product

Damage to device if the enclosure is open or not properly closed. The degree of protection specified on the nameplate or in
Chapter "Technical data (Page 27)" is no longer guaranteed.
● Make sure that the device is securely closed.

Preparing for commissioning

Requirement
Check whether the following requirements have been fulfilled before putting the positioner into operation:
● You have noted the information in section "Basic safety instructions (Page 22)".
● The positioner is correctly attached to the actuator, as described in section "Installing/mounting (Page 9)". All fixing
elements on the positioner are tightly fastened.
● Equipotential bonding is connected.
● The electrical connection cables are properly connected to the positioner, as described in section "Electric connection
(Page 14)".
● The positioner is correctly connected pneumatically, as described in section "Pneumatic connection (Page 21)".
● The supply pressure matches the positioner's requirements, section "Technical data (Page 27)".
● Setting in parameter "2.1.7 Valve direction of actions" corresponds to the pneumatic actuator you are using. You have to
change the parameter when you use the Masoneilan® Camflex II actuator, for example.

Level of the supply pressure
In order for spring-loaded pneumatic actuators to exploit the permitted maximum actuator travel, the following applies:
● The supply pressure must be sufficiently greater than the maximum required nominal pressure of the actuator.
● Make sure that the operating pressure of the positioner does not exceed the maximum permitted operating pressure
of the actuator.
