Drive Carrier LEDs
The server chassis uses SATA drives.
SATA Drives
Each drive carrier has two LEDs.
•
Blue: Each drive carrier has a Blue LED. When illuminated, this green LED (on
the front of the SAS/SATA drive carrier) indicates drive activity. A connection to
the SATA backplane enables this LED to blink on and off when that particular
drive is being accessed.
•
Red: The red LED to indicate an SAS/SATA drive failure. If one of the drives
fails, you should be notified by your system management software
SCSI Drives
This chassis does not support SCSI drives at this time.
Informational LED
An overheat condition has occured.
(This may be caused by cable congestion.)
Fan failure, check for an inoperative fan.
Power failure, check for a non-operational power supply.
Local UID has been activated. Use this function to locate
the server in a rack mount environment.
Remote UID is on. Use this function to identify the
server from a remote location.
