Locking and unlocking the OSD control keys
You can lock the OSD control keys to prevent the settings from being accidentally changed.
1. Go to Setup > OSD lock.
2. You are provided with 2 kinds of OSD lock. Mode 0 allows you to select a input source,
while Mode 1 allows you to access different user profiles. See
more information.

Changing a Preset mode
Your monitor provides various preset modes that are suitable for different types of images.
Go to Preset mode for a desired mode. Different options may be offered depending on the
purchased model.
Adjusting Brightness
To adjust the brightness of the monitor, go to Display > Brightness. See

for more information.
Adjusting Gamma to view DICOM images
To view DICOM images, you can either follow the gamma setting suggested by your monitor, or
change the setting according to your reading room.
Making adjustment as suggested by your monitor
Your monitor can work with the ambient light sensor to suggest the gamma setting that best
suit your need.
1. Go to Setup > Ambient sensor > On to enable the ambient light sensor. Check if there
are any obstacles in front of the sensor that keep it from detecting the light properly.
2. Whenever the monitor is turned on, the suggested gamma setting for reading DICOM
images is displayed.
3. Go to Display > Gamma and set as suggested.
Making adjustment according to the current reading room
Each of the DICOM option under Gamma is designed for a specific reading room as
recommended by the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM). See
settings and ambient light conditions in the reading room on page 30
the DICOM options.
To select an appropriate DICOM option, go to Display > Gamma and select from DICOM 1
to DICOM 6.
