Letting the Camera Choose the Optimal Shooting
Mode (Auto Picture Mode)
In b (Auto Picture), when you press the shutter release button, the

camera selects the most appropriate mode from the following shooting
modes: - (Normal), A (Night Scene), q (Landscape),
(Night Scene Portrait), \(Sport) and

Press the four-way controller (3) in the capture mode.
The Capture Mode Palette appears.

Use the four-way controller (2345) to select b.

Press the 4 button.
The shooting mode is selected and the
camera returns to capture status.

Press the shutter release button
halfway.
The focus frame on the display turns green
when the subject is in focus, and the
selected mode icon will appear on the top left of the display.

Press the shutter release button fully.
• In b, the EV Compensation is fixed at ±0.0. (p.83)
• b is selected as the default shooting mode.
