Electrostatic discharge (ESD) precaution.
For proper ESD precautions to avoid damaging the SIM card. Proper ESD precautions
include, but not limited to, working on an ESD mat and ensuring that the user is properly
grounded.
When and where to use: Use this procedure to install a SIM card:
Procedure:
1 If the battery is in place, remove the battery as described in
2 Slide the SIM card into the SIM card holder with the contacts facing down. Note the card notch
position.
3 Push that the SIM card into the holder until it is fully seated and flat.
You should hear a click when the SIM card in fully in place.

Removing the Public and Private SIM Cards

When and where to use: Use this procedure to remove the public or private SIM cards.
Procedure:
1 Press and hold the Power button for three seconds.
2 Tap Power Off.
3 Tap OK.
4 Lift the battery cover.
5 Slide the battery latch to Unlock position.
6 Lift the battery out of the device.
