3-1 Getting to Know the Bluetooth GPS Receiver

On/Off push switch
To turn GPS receiver on: press for two seconds
and release.
To turn off: press for two seconds and release.
The GPS receiver will automatically turn off three
minutes after the Bluetooth connection is closed
or lost.
External GPS antenna MCX connector
If an external GPS antenna is plugged in
then the GPS receiver will automatically
use the external antenna instead of the
internal antenna.

3-2 Changing the Batteries

Change the batteries in the Bluetooth GPS Receiver when the Bluetooth LED beneath the On/Off switch turns from blue
to red.
Important Note:

Ensure the 3 x
AAA batteries are
always installed
even if powering

the Bluetooth GPS
Receiver from
the vehicle power
charger to ensure
3
minimum time is
taken to obtain a
GPS fi x.
Remove bottom battery cover by pressing the two
lugs with your fi ngers. Pull this bottom cover off the
main unit.
Remove the old batteries, and insert 3 x AAA
batteries (dry-cell, rechargeable, or alkaline).
Observe the battery polarity shown right.
Replace the bottom cover by inserting the clip into
the slot on the main unit. Clip the bottom cover
onto the main unit.
Internal batteries
Indicator LED under On/Off switch
Off: GPS receiver power is off
Two blinks every 1.5 seconds: the receiver is not
connected to the PDA via Bluetooth.
Blink every 1.5 seconds: the receiver is connected to the
PDA via Bluetooth.
Light is blue: battery voltage is good.
Light is red: battery voltage is low, change the batteries.
External power supply connector
If a Navman external power supply is plugged in
then the receiver will automatically use the external
power supply instead of the internal batteries.
Note: the external power supply does not charge
the internal batteries.
