5-2 Connecting to the Bluetooth GPS Receiver

There are three main steps to establish a Bluetooth connection between your Pocket PC and the Navman Bluetooth
GPS Receiver. Please follow these four steps carefully:

different ways on the
different Pocket PCs.
This is NOT a straight
1 Turn on the two Bluetooth Devices

require careful reading
of the documentation
provided in this
section of the
manual and the
documentation
supplied with your
Pocket PC or
Bluetooth card.

Turn on the two Bluetooth Devices
Determine the Bluetooth COM Port
Discover the Bluetooth GPS Receiver
Connecting to the Bluetooth GPS Receiver
1.1 Turn on the Bluetooth GPS Receiver
by pressing the ON/OFF switch for
two seconds. The blue LED indicator
built into the ON/OFF switch will blink
twice every 1.5 seconds to show
that it is not yet connected to another
Bluetooth device.
1.2 Turn on the Bluetooth on the
Pocket PC.
Tap START, TODAY, then tap the
Bluetooth icon located in the lower
right corner of the TODAY SCREEN.
If you are using an external Bluetooth
card to connect to your Pocket PC,
follow the documentation supplied to
ensure it is setup correctly and to
turn it on.
