Integrated Solutions Console/Integrated Admin Console

The Tivoli Integrated Solutions Console (ISC) and Integrated Admin Console (IAC)
are installed. To activate and use, please consult the IBM Redbooks
http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/redbooks/pdfs/sg246638.pdf.
Once you have activated AdminCenter, you can launch it from the IBM Director
console by right-clicking on the appropriate SSAM Server object and selecting
DR550 > Launch AdminCenter.

IBM System Storage DR550 File System Gateway software

The optional DR550 File System Gateway hardware feature code has SuSE 10 and
the DR550 File System Gateway software preinstalled.
The DR550 File System Gateway Software enables client applications to store and
retrieve data from the DR550 by means of the Common Internet File System (CIFS)
or Network File System (NFS) file system protocols. The FSG interacts with the
other DR550 components via the System Storage Archive Manager (SSAM) API.
As files are sent to the File System Gateway, they are cached locally and forwarded
to the archive within the DR550 for persistent storage. The FSG software maintains
the file system directory tree locally. The actual data is stored within the DR550
repository, making the file system appear to have a very high capacity, even
though the DR550 File System Gateway server itself has relatively modest local
resources.
When a client application requests an object that must be retrieved from the DR550
repository, the FSG software requests the object from the DR550. The object is
retrieved from the repository within the DR550, sent back to the FSG, which stores
it in its local disk storage and send the object to the requesting application.
Configuration of the File System Gateway is achieved by the editing of various
XML files. For more information, see the section on Gateway setup in this guide
along with the DR550 File System Gateway Installation Guide and the DR550 File
System Gateway Integration Guide.
