SuSE
By default SuSE disallows remote x-sessions to connect for security reasons. In
order for the SMclient to launch, the x-server must not have -nolisten tcp option
passed to it. To correct this:
1. Edit the /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager file.
2. Change DISPLAYMANAGER_XSERVER_TCP_PORT_6000_OPEN="no" to
3. Save your change.
4. Run SuSEconfig command.
5. Reboot the IBM Director Console machine.
Running IBM Director 5.20.1 instead of 5.20.2
Archive Systems Management Interface recommends running IBM Director 5.20.2;
however, if IBM Director 5.20.1 must be utilized instead of the recommended
version 5.20.2, the following changes must be made. These changes enable support
for the IBM 1814 FAStT system.
On the Management Interface server running the IBM Director server perform the
following steps:
