Codes

Changing the phonecode
You can change the phonecode for enhancing security. See "SIM
lock" on page 78.
d Main menu > Settings > Security > Codes > Change
phonecode
1. Enter a new phonecode 7 [5] (OK)
2. Enter the new code to verify 7 [5] (OK)
To change the phonecode, enter the current phonecode, then repeat the
step 1-2.
Note: Your phonecode must be 6 to16 digits. You are advised to write down
your phonecode. If the phonecode is entered incorrectly 10 times, the phone
will cease to operate permanently.

PIN control

The PIN protects your phone against unauthorised use. If you
enable the PIN, you will be prompted to enter the PIN every time the
phone is switched on.
d Main menu > Settings > Security > Codes > PIN control
1. Enter the PIN code 7 [5] (OK)
2. [5] (Change) to switch on/off 7 [6] (OK)
Note: If the PIN code is entered incorrectly several times (depends on your
SIM), the PIN will be blocked. To unblock the PIN, you must enter your PUK
code. If you enter an incorrect PUK code 10 times, your SIM will be blocked
permanently.
