If the high beam headlight

is switched on whilst the
daytime running light is switched

on, the daytime running light
will be switched off after ap-
prox. 2 seconds, and the high
beam headlight, low beam head-
light, front side lights and, if ap-
plicable, the auxiliary headlights
will be switched on.
If the high beam headlight is
switched off again, the daytime
z
running light is not automat-
ically reactivated, but must be
switched on again if required.
Automatic daytime riding
light
The automatic riding light
control system cannot re-
place your personal assessment
of lighting conditions. The sensor
cannot detect fog or drizzle, for
example.
In such situations the low beam
headlight must be switched on
manually, as otherwise a safety
risk would occur.
The changeover between
daytime running light and
low beam headlight including
front side lights can be effected
automatically.
On account of the limited
space available, the beams
that are part of the light symbol
do not show when the volume
bar appears on the display.
Settings
Call up the
Vehicle
and select
Day run lights
Select
from the menu and set
Auto. DRL
On
to
The symbol for the auto-
matic daytime riding light
shows in the display.
If the ambient brightness de-
creases below a certain value,
the low beam headlight is auto-
matically switched on (e. B.
in a tunnel). When sufficient
ambient brightness is detec-
ted, the daytime riding light is
switched back on. When the
daytime riding light is active,
the daytime riding light symbol
is displayed in the multifunction
display.

Lights

Side light
The side lights switch on auto-
matically when the ignition is
menu
switched on.

The side lights place
a strain on the battery.
Do not switch the ignition

on for longer than absolutely
necessary.
Low-beam headlight
The low-beam headlight switches
on automatically when you start
the engine.
