Adjusting damping on

front wheel
The motorcycle's han-

dling will suffer if you do
not match the spring-preload
and damping-characteristic
settings.
Adjust the damping char-
acteristic to suit the spring
preload.
Make sure the ground is
z
level and firm and park the
motorcycle.
Adjust damping on adjust-
ment ring 1.
To increase damping, turn
adjustment ring 1 counter-
clockwise.
To decrease damping, turn
adjustment ring 1 clockwise.
Rebound-stage basic
setting
With OE Sport suspension:
Turn lower adjustment wheel
completely to right, then back
16 clicks. (Full tank of gas,
with rider 187 lbs (85 kg))
Adjusting spring preload
for rear wheel
Your motorcycle's han-
dling will suffer if you do

preload while the
motorcycle is being ridden
can lead to accidents.
