Adjusting focus manually (manual focus adjustment)

Manually focus the subject if it cannot be brought into focus by automatic focus.
For example, focusing is hard in the following situations:
• Mixture of close and distant objects
• Bright peripheral lights
• Fast-moving objects

Sports
For fast-moving scenes
Avoids blurring during slow-motion playback or playback pause. (In normal
playback, image movement may not look smooth.)
Avoid fluorescent, mercury, and sodium lighting. Such lighting conditions
may affect colouring and brightness.
Vertical bands of light may appear during playback on shiny or highly
reflective objects.

Portrait
Blurs background to make people stand out
