Troubleshoot

The headset sensors are not
working as expected.
• A call is not automatically
answered when I put on my
headset.
• Mute/unmute is not working when
I take on/off my headset during a
call.
• During a call, mute unexpectedly
turns on.
During a call, nobody can hear me.
During a call, I can't hear anybody.
Music is not coming through my
headset.
The headset talk time is not
accurate.
When I play music and a call comes
in, the music is too loud or doesn't
pause.
When I use my headset with a
softphone, the headset call control
and mute buttons don't work.
If your headset sensors are not working as expected, you may
need to reset the sensors. See
Reset sensors.
Configure the headset as the recording/output default device.
Start menu > Control Panel > Sound >
For Windows, go to
Recording tab
. Select
Plantronics
"Select as Default Device" and click OK.
Apple menu > System Preferences > Sound >
For Mac, go to
Output tab
Plantronics
and select
Configure the headset as the playback/input default device.
Start menu > Control Panel > Sound >
For Windows, go to
Playback tab
. Select
Plantronics
"Select as Default Device" and click OK.

and select

To configure your USB adapter to play music, see

Charge the headset fully to reset the accuracy of the talk time
prompts.

Windows and Mac to enable headset control (answer/end and
