Procedure 7.22 - Replacing a Secondary Link (serial codes CR
Warning: Care must be taken when work is being performed in the area of the stairarms. Pinch
points exist between the stairarm and ramp and between the stairarm and crankarm,
when the rear covers are removed.
1. Procedure
1. Set the on/off switch in the off position.
2. Remove the bolt that fastens the handlebar to the secondary link.
3. Remove the retaining ring that fastens the secondary link to the stairarm connector.
4. Slide the secondary link off of the stairarm connector.

5. Slide the replacement secondary link onto the stairarm connector. Fasten the secondary link
to the stairarm connector with retaining ring removed in step 3.
