Removing the Keyboard

 
CAUTION:
Before performing the following procedures, read the safety instructions in your System Information Guide.
 
NOTICE:
To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such
as the back panel) on the computer.
1.  Follow the instructions in
"Preparing to Work Inside the
2.  Open the display approximately 180 degrees.
3.  Use a plastic scribe or, if a plastic scribe is not available, carefully use a small flat-blade screwdriver to lift the notched right edge of the center control
cover, and pry the cover loose from the bottom case.

4.  Remove the two M2 x 5-mm screws from the top of the keyboard.
5.  Use the pull-tab to pull the keyboard up and out (toward the display) of the bottom case.
 
Computer" to remove the battery and prepare the computer for work.
