3. Clean the engine and the entire tractor
thoroughly.
4. Drain and flush the cooling system. Refill with a
minimum 50/50 antifreeze and water coolant
solution. Use a higher percentage of antifreeze
if the tractor will be subjected to temperatures
below minus 30° F.
5. Fully charge the battery, then disconnect the
negative cable at the battery to prevent possi-
ble discharge. Recharge the battery periodically
when in storage.
NOTE: Remove the battery if exposed to prolonged
periods of sub-freezing temperatures. Store in a
cool, dry location where temperatures are above
freezing.
6. Lubricate all lubrication points.
7. Jack up and block the tractor to remove the
weight from the tires if stored for a long period.
If not blocked up, reinflate the tires regularly.
NOTE: We do not recommend the use of a
pressure washer or garden hose to clean your
tractor. They may cause damage to electrical
components; spindles; pulleys; bearings; or the
engine. The use of water will result in shortened life
and reduce serviceability.
