Temperature C ooking
"temperature cooking uses
a special food thermometer to
measurethe internal
temperature
of food as it cooks. For many
foods this is the best test of
doneness. Heating or reheating
foods accurately to the desired
serving temperature is easy,
Temperature c ookingtakesthe
guesswork outofcookingbecause
theovenautomatically switches to
holdafterreachingthepresetfood
temperature andmaintainsthat
temperature untilyoutouchthe
CLEAR/OFFpad.
Settingthe oven Controls
Step 1:
Inserttemperature probe
in foodas shownbelowor as
describedin cookbook.Attach
probesecurelyto ovenwall
receptacleandcloseovendoor.
Step 2:
TouchMICROWAVE
COOK.Thetimeof daydisappears
on the displayand "ENTER
FOODTEMP" flashes.
Step3:
Touchthe numberpads
in the order youread them. For
examplefor E1O°F., touch1,3,
:md0. 130showson the display.
Step 4:
TheovenwillTemperature
Cookautomatically at powerlevel
10,unlessa differentpowerlevelis
selected.Todo so,touchMICRO
POWER LEVEL. " ENTERPOWER"
flasheson thedisplay. T ouch
numberpad for newpowerlevel.

5:
TouchSTART to begin
Cooking. T hedisplayshows"Cool"
if actualfoodtemperature is below
80"F.After80°F.is reached,the
displayshowsfoodtemperature
as it rises. Whenfoodreaches
the presettemperature,"Hold"
flashes,ovensignalsandholds
temperature.

Placeprobeso thatpointrests in
centerof the thickestmeatypart of
roast, or intothecutendor meatiest
part of bonelesshamor lamb.Point
shouldnottouchbone,fator gristle.
For bone-inhamor lamb,insert
probe intocenterof lowestlarge
muscleor joint.
Insertprobeintomeatiestpartof
innerthigh,belowandparallelto
thelegof a wholeturkey.
Fordishessuchas meatloafor
casserole,insertprobeintocenter.
