The battery is not loaded properly.

An external microphone or external device

The size of a single file exceeded 4 GB.
The recording level has not been adjusted.
The microphone sensitivity is too low.
This could potentially be because the
output level for the connected external
devices are too low.
Action
Check the direction of the battery (☞ P.17).
Charge the battery (☞ P.19, P.20).
Turn the power on (☞ P.23).
Charge the battery (☞ P.19, P.20).

Release the recorder from HOLD (☞ P.24).
Erase unnecessary files (☞ P.58).
