Disconnect tool, when not in use, before servicing, and
when changing accessories such as blade. Remove adjusting

keys and wrenches.
Avoid unintentional starting. Do not carry plugged-in tool
with finger on the switch. Be sure that the tool is switched off
before plugging in.
Causes and prevention of kickback
The kickback is a sudden reaction of clamping, bound or
saw blade misalign, which can cause an uncontrolled saw to pop
out of the workpiece toward the operator.
When the blade is clamped or bound tightly by the kerf or
bound slightly, the blade pulses and the motor drive the unit
back toward the operator rapidly.
Kickback is the result of the misuse of tool and/or incorrect
operating procedures or conditions and can be avoided by
taking proper precautions as given below:
1.
Maintain a firm grip with both hands on the machine
and position your arms to resist kickback forces. Position
your body to either side of the blade, but not in line with the
blade. Kickback could cause the machine to jump backwards.
But kickback force can be controlled by the operator, if proper
precautions are taken.
2.
When the blade is binding, or interrupting a cut for any
reason, release the switch and maintain the machine in place,
finally let the blade stops completely in the cutting material.
Never attempt to remove the machine from the workpiece
or pull the machine backward while the blade is in motion or
the kickback occurs. Investigate and take corrective actions to
eliminate the cause of blade binding.
3.
When restarting the machine in the workpiece, the saw
blade should be arranged in the center of the cut and the saw
teeth should be checked whether engaged in the material or
not. If the saw blade is binded, it may walk up or kick back from
the workpiece when the machine is restarted.
4.
Support large panels to minimize the risk of blade pinching
and kickback. Large panels tend to sag under their own weight.
Supports must be placed under the panel on both sides, near
the line of cut and near the edge of the panel.
5.
Do not use dull or damaged blades. Unsharpened or
improperly set blades produce a narrow kerf which causes
excessive friction, blade binding and kickback.
6.
Blade depth and bevel adjusting locking levers must be
tight and secure before making a cut. If blade adjustment shifts
while cutting, it may cause binding kickback.
When making a deep cut into existing walls or other blind
areas. The protruding blade may cut objects and cause
kickback.

Unpacking
is
When unpacking, check to make sure that all components are
included. Refer to the drawings on this manual. If any parts are
missing or broken, please call IVT assistance center.

Initial operation

Always use the correct supply voltage: the power supply voltage
must match the information quoted on the tool identification
plate.

Dust extraction

Dust extraction prevents large accumulations of
dust, high concentrations of dust in the ambient air
and facilitates disposal.
For long periods of working with wood or for commercial use
on materials that produce dust that is detrimental to health, the
machine is to be connected to a suitable external dust extraction
device by the dust outlet (11).

Switching on and off

The machine is equipped with a lock-off button to avoid
unintentional starting. To switch the machine on, keep the lock-
off button (3) depressed and squeeze the on/off switch (2).
To switch the machine off, release the On/Off switch (2).

Operating instructions

Cutting tips

1.
Align the viewing direction of the metal base plate with
cutting line:
Take V-type notch (12) as reference in determination of
cutting position. Align the notch with cutting line.
As the cutting positions may change with the movement of
saw blade, pre-cutting should be carried out in advance. [F1]
2.
Push the lock-off button (3), press the on/off switch (2) to
start the motor and release the lock-off button (3). [F2]
Check if the lock-off button (3) works normally.
Stop operation immediately and bring the instrument to
authorized service center if the on/off switch (2) can be activated
without pressing the lock-off button (3).
Hold the handle with one hand and hold the front handle
(4) with the other hand. Hold them tightly and press the switch
completely.
Before starting up the motor, do not contact the saw blade
(9) with cutting materials. Start cutting until the maximum
speed of saw blade is reached.
