Storing/Copying a Program

Once you have modified the Parameters and Effects to your liking, you can
store them to a user Program location. When editing a Program, the Store LED
will light indicating that you have changed a Parameter and need to store the
changes. The following steps outline the procedure for storing a preset:
1. Press the Store button once and the first seven segment LED in the Display
window will flash U. This is asking you to select a User Bank and Program
location that you want to store your sound to.
2. Select the User Bank and Program location using the Value Up and Down
buttons.
3. Press the Store button again to save the changes.
The procedure for copying one program to another program location is almost
the same. Simply use the Value Up and Down buttons to select the Program that
you want to copy, then follow the steps listed above.

Tuner Mode

Allows you to quickly tune or check the tuning on your guitar. Enter Tuner
mode by pressing and holding the Bank Up footswitch. The Display will briefly
show tunr followed by ---- to indicate that you are in Tuner mode. To
begin tuning, play a note on your guitar (a harmonic at the 12th fret usually
works best). The display window will show the note being played and the
horizontal Parameter Matrix LEDs will light. Once the green LED directly over
the Gate effect column is lit, the note will be in tune. LEDs to the left of the
green center LED indicate the note is flat and should be tuned up. LEDs to the
right indicate the note is sharp and should be tuned down.
In Tuner mode, you can change your tuning reference by using the Value Up
and Down buttons. The default factory setting is : A=440 Hz. The tuning
reference control ranges from 427 Hz to 453 Hz, which is the equivalent of ±
50 cents (1/2 semitone) in either direction form 440 Hz. When you scroll
down from 427 Hz, you will also find alternate dropped tunings. Alternate
tunings are A = Ab (415), A = G (392), and A = Gb (369). The display
window will briefly flash the currently selected tuning preference.
Exit tuner mode by pressing any of the footswitches.

Learn-A-Lick Mode

The Learn-A-Lick function allows you to record a 12 second passage of music
and play it back as slow as 1/4 speed with no change in pitch. This is very
useful for picking out the notes of a fast solo passage.
There are 6 functions for Learn-A-Lick. They are:
• Play / Stop
• Rewind
• Fast Forward
Using Learn-A-Lick
1. Connect the output of your CD or tape player headphone output to the Jam-
A-Long input jack on the rear panel using an 1/8" stereo connector. Set the
level of the CD/tape player to a desired listening level.
2. Cue up to the passage you want to record and hit pause on the CD or tape
player.
3. Press and hold the Bank Down Footswitch to enter Learn-A-Lick mode. The
display will read: LaL.
4. Release the pause button on your playback device and press the number 4
(Record) Footswitch when you are ready to begin recording the passage.
The display will read: rEC and recording will begin. The vertical LEDs
provide a time elapsed reference by lighting one at a time while recording.
When recording is completed, the phrase will be set to an auto-loop
playback mode. Stop or press pause on the CD or Tape player.
5. Pressing the Tempo Down Footswitch will slow the playback down to 1/4
speed in 1/8th speed intervals.
6. Pressing the Tempo Up Footswitch will increase the playback speed to
normal speed at 1/8th speed intervals.
7. Pressing the Rewind Footswitch steps back through the loop at 1/2 second
intervals.
8. Pressing the F Fwd Footswitch steps forward through the loop at 1/2 second
intervals.
9. The Expression Pedal will control output level of the recorded phrase.
10. To record a new passage, press the Record Footswitch again.
11. To exit the Learn-A-Lick mode, press and hold the Bank Down Footswitch.

Grabación/Copia de un Programa
Una vez que haya modificado los Parámetros y Efectos a su gusto, puede
almacenarlos en una posición de Programa de usuario. Al editar un Programa, el
LED Store se iluminará indicando que ha variado un Parámetro y debe guardar
los cambios. Los siguientes pasos indican el proceso para almacenar un ajuste:
1. Pulse el botón Store una vez y los siete primeros LED de la Pantalla
parpadearán indicando U. Esto es para pedirle que seleccione un Banco y
posición de Programa de Usuario en la que quiere almacenar su sonido.
2. Elija el Banco de Usuario y posición de Programa usando los botones Value
arriba y abajo.
3. Pulse el botón Store otra vez para almacenar los cambios.
El proceso de copia de un programa en otra posición es casi lo mismo.
Simplemente use los botones Value arriba y abajo para seleccionar el
Programa que quiere copiar, y después ejecute los pasos anteriores.
Modo de Afinación
Le permite afinar o comprobar rápidamente la afinación de su guitarra. Entre
al Modo de Afinación manteniendo pulsado el pedal Bank arriba. La Pantalla
tunr
mostrará brevemente seguido por ---- para indicar que está en el
modo de Afinación. Para comenzar la afinación, toque una nota en su guitarra
(un armónico en el traste 12 suele funcionar bien). La pantalla mostrará la
nota tocada y los LED de la Matriz de Parámetros horizontales se iluminarán.
Una vez que se ilumine el LED verde que está justo encima de la columna de
efecto Puerta, la nota estará afinada. Los LED a la izquierda del este LED verde
central indican que la nota está bemolada y que debería subirla. Los LED a la
derecha indican que la nota está sostenida y que debería disminuir su tono.
En el modo de Afinación, puede cambiar la referencia de afinación usando los
botones Value arriba/abajo. El ajuste de fábrica es: A=440 Hz. El control de
referencia de afinación varía desde 427 Hz a 453 Hz, que es equivalente a ± 50
cents (1/2 semitono) en ambos sentidos a partir de 440 Hz. Cuando siga
bajando desde los 427 Hz, también encontrará afinaciones alternatovas. Estas
afinaciones son A = Ab (415), A = G (392) y A = Gb (369). La pantalla hará
parpadear brevemente la preferencia de afinación seleccionada en ese momento.
Salga del modo de afinación pulsando cualquiera de los pedales de disparo.

Modo Learn-A-Lick

La función Learn-A-Lick le permite guardar un pasaje de 12 segundos de
música y reproducirlo a 1/4 de velocidad sin que haya cambio de tono. Esto es
muy útil para aprender las notas que forman un solo muy rápido.
Hay 6 funciones para Learn-A-Lick. Son:
• Reproducción/parada
• Rebobinado
• Avance rápido
Uso de Learn-A-Lick
1. Conecte la salida de su CD o la salida de auriculares de su reproductor de
cinta a la entrada Jam-A-Long del panel posterior usando un conector
stereo de 1/8". Ajuste el nivel del CD/pletina a un nivel de escucha deseado.
2. Vaya hasta el pasaje que quiera grabar y pulse la pausa en el CD o pletina.
3. Mantenga pulsado el Pedal de Disparo Bank abajo para entrar al modo
Learn-A-Lick. La pantalla mostrará: LaL.
4. Suelte el botón de pausa de su unidad de reproducción y pulse el Pedal
número 4 (Grabar) cuando esté preparado para grabar el pasaje. La
pantalla mostrará: rEC y comenzará la grabación. Los LED verticales le
ofrecen una referencia del tiempo transcurrido al encenderse de uno en
uno durante la grabación. Cuando la grabación esté completa, el pasaje
será ajustado en un modo de reproducción continua. Pulse Stop o pausa en
el reproductor de cinta o CD.
5. Al pulsar el Pedal Tempo abajo, ralentizará la reproducción a 1/4 de
velocidad en intervalos de 1/8 de velocidad.
6. Al pulsar el Pedal Tempo arriba, aumentará la velocidad de reproducción
hasta velocidad normal en intervalos de 1/8 de velocidad.
7. Al pulsar el Pedal Rebobinado,
1/2 segundo.
8. Al pulsar el Pedal Avance rápido, se desplazará hacia delante en
intervalos de 1/2 segundo.
9. El Pedal Expresión controlará el nivel de salida del pasaje grabado.
10. Para grabar un nuevo pasaje, pulse otra vez el Pedal Record.
11. Para salir de este modo, mantenga pulsado el Pedal Bank abajo.
