Start-up procedure

Caution!
Before commissioning, always conduct visual inspection.
If there are loose, damaged or worn-out cutting works
and/or fastening parts, the device must not be used.
Before startup procedure, check whether the
Release button is latched in the connecting piece
Star-grip is securely tightened to the connecting
coupling
Always operate trimmer with protective shield
Always observe country-specific rulings regarding
operating hours
Always
observe
the
instructions from the motor manufacturer
Warning!
This power tool produces an electromagnetic field during
operation. This field may under some circumstances
interfere with active or passive medical implants. To
reduce the risk of serious or fatal injury, we recommend
persons with medical implants to consult their physician
and the medical implant manufacturer before operating
this machine.

Starting Motor

Warning!
Never allow the motor to run in closed spaces.
Poisoning danger!
Before starting, shorten the cutting string to 13 cm,
in order not to overload the motor (Illustration 5A).
Starting flipper steps:
CLOSE
CHOKE
Cold Start
Caution!
Always pull starter cord straight out.
Do not allow it to snap back too quickly.

1.
Set the ignition switch on the position "Start"
(Illustration 5B).
2.
Slide start flap on position "CLOSE" (Illustration 5C).
3.
Press fuel pump 10x (Illustration 5D) and wait 10 seconds.
4.
Hold device securely on the grip - press the safety
locking lever (A) and the gas lever (B) completely
through (Illustration 5E).
5.
Pull starter cord 6 to 8x. Using a simillarly rapid pull
(Illustration 5F).
6.
Starting switch on Position"„
(Illustration 5G).
7.
Pull starter cord 4x and press gas lever completely
through (Illustration 5F).
8.
After starting the motor, allow the start flipper to remain
for about 20 seconds on the position"CHOKE".
9.
After that, slide the start flap onto the position "RUN"
(Illustration 5H).
10.
If the motor does not start, repeat steps 5 to 10.
Warm Start
1.
Set the ignition switch on the position "Start".
2.
Set start flipper to position "
3.
Grip gas lever and press through safety locking lever.
4.
Pull starter cord quickly a maximum of 6x - the motor
starts up. Press gas lever completely, until the motor
runs smoothly.
Motor does not start:
Set the start start flipper to the position "RUN"
Pull starter cord 5x.The motor still does not start:
Wait 5 minutes and then try again with a pressed-
through gas lever
Refer to the chapter "Troubleshooting Help."
Turn off motor
1.
Release gas lever and allow motor to run out.
2.
Turn ignition switch to "STOP" (Illustration 6B)
Caution!
Motor continues to run after switching off - Injury
Danger!
