CONVERTING FROM 5/8" TO 4/7" VENTING

NOTE: You may reduce the appliance from 5/8" to 4/7" venting for horizontal runs with a vertical rise
application.

3.8.1 REDUCED VENT CLEARANCE TO COMBUSTIBLES

The minimum clearances around the horizontal vent pipe to the combustible material may be reduced from
3"(76.2mm) / 2"(50.8mm) to 1" (25.4mm) in installations with a minimum of 52" (1320.8mm) vertical rise made
immediately off the appliance collar and where the vent has been reduced to a 4/7" from 5/8" at the appliance.
