You can change your sound settings
to suit your circumstances and with several
polyphonic ring tones offering a richer
sound experience preset in your phone
you'll be sure to turn heads.
1 From the main display press Menu.
Scroll to Tones and press Select.
2 Select Tone settings. A list of your
phone's sound settings is displayed.
3 Select the setting(s) you want to change.
Choose from:
Incoming call alert
I
Choose how you would like to be
alerted to an incoming call.
Ringing tone
I
Choose from several polyphonic tones
or open your Gallery to browse
through the tones stored there.
Ringing volume
I
Choose how loud you would like your
phone to sound when it receives an
incoming call.
Vibrating alert
I
Set the phone to vibrate when it
receives a call or message.
Message alert tone
I
Choose how you would like to be
alerted to an incoming message.
Keypad tones
I
Choose whether to hear tones when
you press the keys on your phone.
Warning tones
I
Set the phone to sound when it's
running out of battery power.
Note: Changing your Sound settings will
only alter them for the profile you are
currently using. See page 8.4 for more
details on Profiles.

Your Nokia 3510i comes equipped with
several polyphonic preset ring tones,
bringing you a richer sound experience.
To choose a ring tone:
1 Select Menu and then select Tones.
2 Select Tone settings and scroll to
Ringing tone. Press Select.
3 Scroll through the tones, or select Open
Gallery to choose a tone from your
Gallery. Press Select when you come to
the tone that you want.
To assign a ring tone to a contact:
1 Enter your phonebook by pressing
2 Scroll to the contact you want to assign
a tone to.
3 Press Details. Choose the number you
want and press Options.
4 Select Assign tone. Choose the ring tone
you want and press Select.

A profile is a phone setting that determines
how your phone behaves when, for
example, you receive a new text message,
text picture message, photo message or
Answer Phone message.
You can choose a profile from four presets or
customise up to two of your own:
1 Press Menu and select Profiles.
2 Select the profile you want to use from:

Silent
I
Discreet
I
Loud
I
My style 1
I
My style 2
I

3 Select Activate.
