5 - messaging
organise your messages
You can store text and picture messages in
folders rather than your Inbox.
To create a message folder:

Press Menu and select Messages.
Select Text messages then My folders.

Press Options and select Add Folder.

You will be prompted to enter a name for
the folder. Enter the name and press OK.
The folder will be added.
To move messages into your folders:

Press Menu and select Messages then
Text messages. Select Inbox then Open.

Select a message that you want to move
and press Options.

Select Move and select which folder you
want to move the message to. Choose
from your Archive and Templates folders,
as well as your personal folders.
use message templates
Your Nokia 3510i comes preset with 10
text and 10 text picture messages which
are saved as text message templates.
To use a template:

Press Menu and select Messages.
Select Text messages.

Scroll to Templates and press Select.
Scroll to the template that you would like
to use and press Select.

Edit the message if you need to by
pressing Options then Edit and then
select how to send the message.

Edit the message and send it in the
usual way.
You can store your own text message
templates:

Press Menu and select Messages.
Select Text messages.

Select Templates. Select a message to
overwrite. Press Options and select Edit.

chat with a friend using text
messages
You can use your phone to have and keep
track of conversations with your friends via
Text Messaging.

Press Menu and select Messages.
Select Chat.

Enter the phone number of the person
that you want to start a chat with.
Press OK.

Enter a chat nickname for yourself and
then press OK.

Write your message in the usual way,
then select Options and then Send.

The reply from the number will appear
above your original message on your
phone's display. Press OK to reply.

To end a chat session press

select OK, Options then Quit.
Note: You can see previous messages sent
in your conversation by selecting OK,
Options then Chat history.
Note: All calls to

are free.
Text messages sent from your PC are free.
Text messages sent from your phone will
be charged according to your service plan.
When you are using Orange Chat always
bear safety in mind.
Orange will never reveal your Orange

phone number to other Orange Chat
users, so your privacy is secure, no
matter how often you use the service.
You should never give out any

personal information about yourself to
other users of this service.
If you find any messages offensive in
I
the chat room, please call Orange
straight away and the offensive
message will be deleted.
